A 70-year-old man identified as Lansana Saramy, formerly of Bumpeh Town in Nimikoro Chiefdom, Kono District, is reported to have died by suicide after allegedly hanging himself in his bedroom.
According to reliable sources, Mr. Saramy had served as the caretaker of a compound in Bumpeh Town for several decades. He reportedly attempted to sell the property without the knowledge or consent of its rightful owner. This action drew concern and intervention from nearby residents and family members of the compound’s owner, who opposed the unauthorized sale.
Sources further revealed that the confrontation and pressure may have led Mr. Saramy to retreat into the room he had occupied for over thirty years, where he was later found dead.
