He said President Bio had equally delivered on the Free Quality Education, constructed the Freetown International Airport, Human Capital Development, Women’s empowerment through the Gender Equality and Women’s empowerment Act, girl child education among others.  He added that President Bio and the SLPP has also delivered almost everything he promised in the 2018 New Direction Manifesto.

The Paramount Chief of Mapkele Chiefdom, Pujehun District, Saffa Tamu, welcomed President Bio and his team to Zimmi town. He assured President Bio that Pujehun District is at top gear to give President Bio 100% block votes. He expressed thanks and appreciation to President Bio for appointing sons of the soil of Pujehun especially the Chief Immigration Officer, the Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament among others. He said those appointees have done tremendously well in representing President Bio across Pujehun District.

In his address, President Bio expressed thanks and appreciation to all the Paramount Chiefs for gracing his campaign ceremony across Pujehun. He said the SLPP Party was established by Paramount Chiefs. He said the best Party in Sierra Leone is the Sierra Leone People’s Party adding that it is only the SLPP Party that has the culture of developing Sierra Leone. He said Sierra Leone gave him the mandate to serve as the leader of the SLPP and to become President of the nation. He added that he had delivered on the first social contract he entered into with the people in 2018. He intimated that he promised Free Quality Education, Human Capital Development, girl child education, and women’s empowerment among others. President Bio noted that just two weeks ahead of the elections, he has taken the country to the United Nations Security Council after 52 years, and also the International Monetary Fund had equally endorsed his next administration with $20 Million.

President Bio continued that he had provided unshakable protection to women in terms of seeking for elective appointment positions through the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Act of 2022 with a specific focus on the 30% quota. He said citizens of Sierra Leone would be voting for their children’s future supported by Free Quality Education. He however noted that the high prices on food commodities are not only unique to Sierra Leone but a global crisis fueled by Covid-19 coupled with the Russian-Ukraine war

“When the United Nations was looking for five Champions to discuss education at the global level, President Julius Maada Bio was the only President that was chosen for such discuss. Our education was in shambles under the APC administration and corruption was also fashionable in the APC regime. So the APC is not good for themselves and for the country”, he said.

President Bio, therefore, encouraged Pujehun to make the re-election of President Bio a Priority. He promised Zimmi of pipe-born water supply in his next administration. He concluded by encouraging Citizens that if they want a continuation of Free Quality Education, Human Capital Development, and Women’s empowerment, let them vote for President Julius Maada Bio and the SLPP.
