The Confederation of Africa Football CAF has on 6th September 2023 approved the Southern Arena Stadium in BO City the Southern Province of Sierra Leone to host match number 49 of the 2023/ 2024 CAF Champions League first leg, second rounds preliminary match between BO Rangers FC of Sierra Leone Vs CR Belouizdad of Algeria.
This was after the Confederation of African Football granted a match provisional approval to the Southern Arena stadium to host the said fixture at the newest sporting facility in the country.
Bo Rangers will host Chabab Riadhi Belouizdad – CRB on Sunday 17th September 2023 in Bo City at 16:00GMT.
The match will be officiated by a quartet batch of referees from Nigeria led by Joseph Odey Ogabor as center-man, Vice President of the Gambia Football Association, Bakary K Jammeh, will serve as match Commissioner while Togolese former International referee, Kokou Djaoupe will be the Referees Assessor.
The returned leg has been scheduled for the 30th of September, 2023 at the Complexe Olympique d’Oran in Oran, Algeria 19:00 GMT.
The two sides met last year in the first preliminary round in both home and away basic where CR Belouizdad knocked out BO Rangers on home soil after a (1-1) all-draw in the first leg in Liberia and the Rangers suffered three goals away from the home.
Solomon Demby the Assistant Public Relations Officer of BO Rangers said the team is in high spirits to take on their counterparts in the second rounds of the Champions qualifiers at the Southern Arena Stadium on the 17th of September 2023, noting that the management has given a word of boost to the players ahead of the crunch tie.
He affirmed that, this time around we are highly prepared to take the team that knocked us out in our first outing in the Champions League Competitions.
