The leader of the C4C party in the well of parliament Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina representing constituency 030 in Kono District has in strong terms urged his colleague members of parliament that walked out of parliament on Tuesday 18th May, 2021 to apologise to their constituents for misrepresenting them.

At least five Members of Parliament representing the C4C Hon. Sahr Charles, Hon. Sahr Francis Bendu, Hon. Aiah Kassegbama, Hon. Komba Kamanda and Hon. Paul Sam immediately walked out of parliament when president Bio entered the well of parliament to perform what section 84 sub-section 3 of Act number 6 of the 1991 constitution of the country required him to do.

Hon. Lamina pointed out that owing to the centrality of the function of the President in the well of parliament, his colleagues whose fundamental responsibilities are to represent their constituents should have not walked out without sounding his opinion.

He said the reason proffered by his colleagues to walk out of parliament is of no importance as far as the leadership of the C4C is concerned, noting that it is high time they forgot about their indifferences and worked for the good and betterment of the C4C and the country as a whole.

In a telephone interview with one of the walked out members of the parliament on Tuesday 18th May, 2021, Hon. Sahr Charles, he noted that they immediately walked out of the well of parliament when president Bio entered to address them due to what they referred to as a mere disrespect to the C4C party national chairman Tamba Richard Sandi as he was not allowed to occupy the seat meant for him as the national chairman.

He further maintained that to their greatest dismay the said sitting accommodation was occupied by one Sahr Nyama who is reported to be the C4C party coordinator.

The Honourable Member of Parliament denounced the leadership of Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina in the well of parliament on behalf of the C4C party noting that Hon. Lamina is working to protect and promote the ruling SLPP government and not the C4C and therefore registered that Hon. Sahr Francis Bendu is their leader and that they will continue to walk out of parliament since their concerns are ignored.
