Businessman Remanded Over Alleged Theft of Iphone 11 Pro Max and Cash

Ibrahim Kamara, a 28-year-old businessman, made his first court appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at Court No. 8 on Pademba Road, Freetown, on a single count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Fullah Choice, Gloucester Regent Road in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly stole one iPhone 11 Pro Max (blue-black in color), valued at Le10,000, along with Le1,000 in physical cash  bringing the total value of the stolen items to Le11,000. The items were said to be the property of one Adama Sesay.

When the charge was read and explained in court, no plea was taken from the accused.

The prosecution, led by Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph Lamin Dumbuya, requested a short adjournment to enable him to lead his first witness in the matter.

Magistrate Samura subsequently denied bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility on Pademba Road. The matter was adjourned to Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
