Kofi Clarke, a 47-year-old businessman, made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing two charges: conspiracy to commit a crime and larceny in a dwelling house, contrary to Section 13(a) of the Larceny Act, 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, between 1 November and 24 December 2025, at 14 Priscilla Street, Western Area, Freetown, Clarke allegedly conspired with others, whose identities are unknown, to commit a felony, specifically larceny from a dwelling house.

The second count states that, on the same date and location, Clarke allegedly entered the dwelling house of Rella Mac Boimah and stole two window cottons, two red can sahions, and other assorted items, all property belonging to the complainant.

When the charges were read and explained, the defendant did not take a plea.

Prosecutor confirmed that the defence had been served with a copy of the case file, which was acknowledged by the defence counsel.

Defence counsel, E.T. Lassayo Esq., applied for bail, citing that the defendant has reliable sureties and is not a flight risk, and would appear in court for all adjournment dates, pursuant to Section 76(1) of the Criminal Procedure Act, 2024.

However, Magistrate Fornah refused bail, citing the seriousness of the offences, and remanded the defendant. The matter was adjourned to 26 January 2026 for further proceedings.
