43yrs old Mariatu Amie Koroma a business woman made her first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on six count charges ranging from Obtaining credit by fraud contrary to section 13 (1) of the debtors act 1869.
According to the particulars of offence on diverse dates with 11the February to 26 march 2022 at No.35 main motor Road Calaba town the western area in Freetown with intent to defraud obtained assorted items valued(1,337,350) from Alieu Kanji Daramy.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and she pleaded not guilty.
Assistant Superintendent of police Ibrahim S Mansaray lead Prosecution witness number one Alieu Kabia a business man he recognized the accused person ‚on the 11th February to the 26 of March 2022.
On the said date something transpired between himself and the accused person.
She went to his business place requested for a supply from him he told her that they are not doing their business like that the accused person told him to visit her shop and he did they started supplying.
After a while the accused person was not in her shop the witness said he supplied he goods cost eight hundred and seventy four million Leones since then the accused person was on the run he went to the criminal investigation department where he made report and statements was obtained from him
Counsel representing the accused person Elvis Kargbo applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that she is resident within this jurisdiction, she is a business woman she has credible sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on her behalf.

In delivering his ruling, Five hundred thousand new Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to provide property value the said amount bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar Matter adjourned to the 30th November 2022.
