19yrs old Ibrahim Sorie Conteh bus conductor made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Ross Road Court No.1 in Freetown on three count charges to wit Wounding with intent Contrary to section 18 of the offences against the person Act 1861, Wounding contrary to Section 20 of the offences against the person Act 1861 and Assault Occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Monday 9th January 2023 at Campbell Street Wellington the western area in Freetown maliciously wounded with intent Sahr Amara in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and no plea was taken.
The prosecutor informed the Bench that her witness is present but she didn’t have proper conference with the witness, he therefore applied for an adjourned date.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown, while chief Inspector of Police Isatu Bangura prosecuting the matter.
