30 Years Old Mohamed Lamin Turay was yesterday sent to the high court by magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No3 for the alleged murder of his brother Ibrahim Turay.
Magistrate Santigie Bangura in his ruling before the committal said there is sufficient evidence against the accused that warranted his committal at the high court, he added that the testimony of the prosecution witnesses corroborated.
He therefore committed the matter to the high court for further trial.
The prosecution in proven their case against the accused called four witness.
The accused was arraigned on preliminary investigation on one count of murder contrary to law.
According to the charge, the accused Mohamed Lamin Turay on Tuesday 16th May 2023, at Pyke Street Freetown murdered Ibrahim Turay.
The accused made 9 subsequent appearances in court and had been in prison since then with no legal representation on his behalf.
Deputy Superintendent of police Sorie Conteh prosecuted the matter in court.
