The competition which started on Sunday 6th August, 2023 comprises 12 First Division teams in Bo District.
Ram Kamara FC and Alma FC made it to the final.
Ram Kamara defeated Alma FC 2-0 courtesy of goals from Foday Kpaka and Sulaiman Sesay in the second half.
Ten-man Alma fought hard but couldn’t penetrate as controversies emerged after Ram Kamara got their second goal.
In his statement at the awards ceremony, the Chairman of BoDFA, Mr. Abdul Ahmed Bangura thanked both teams for a job well done.
“In every competition, there must be a winner and loser but we are proud of you for your commitment despite the few issues which I and my Executive will thoroughly investigate and necessary actions were taken”, he stressed.
He applauded Bo Rangers’ Executive Chairman, Mr. Babadi Kamara, Mighty Blackpool’s Chairman Rodney Michael, and Chief Executive Officer of Ram Kamara, Mr. Alusine Kamara for their tremendous support.
He promised, on behalf of his BoDFA Executive Members, to support the two teams that have qualified for the Regional play-offs and if they make it to the national play-off.
Meanwhile, medals and trophies were presented to the winners and runners-up.
The teams that have qualified for the National playoffs are bracing up to represent the region on good footing because the Region only has a single team in the top-flight league the Sierra Leone Premier League.
