24yrs old Sallieu Turay an Artist made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on diverse date between 24th January to 1st February 2023 at No.3 Signal Hill Road, military officer quarters Wilberforce the western area in Freetown Stole bunch of banana values three hundred Leones (300) and ten leaves of board value one thousand five hundred Leones(1,500) all to the total value of one thousand eight hundred Leones(1,800)  property of Brewa Conteh.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty.

Sergeant 1462 Amiza John lead Prosecution witness number one Brewah Conteh a military officer who recognised the accused person as his Neighbor.

 He recalled on the 1st February 2023 he was in his vehicle driving to home when he received an Audio message from on Daniel Matthew Amara who gave him information about the accused person upon the information he went to the scene of crime at the scene he discovered that ten leaves of board had gone missing and he also discovered that his banana was chopped off the witness said upon that he went to Congo Cross police station and made statement

The accused person was unrepresented by legal representative.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown.

The matter was adjourned to the 8th March 2023 for further hearing.
