Chief Superintendent of Police, Mr. Alphonso Abdulai Fambulleh, spearheaded a significant induction ceremony at the Bo West Police Division, welcoming 40 newly transferred officers on probation. With a strong emphasis on cultivating discipline, the event aimed to reinforce the essence of integrity and professionalism within the Sierra Leone Police Force.

During the ceremony, CSP Fambulleh emphasized the pivotal role of discipline in bolstering public trust and ensuring community safety. Beyond mere rule adherence, he defined discipline as the embodiment of core values such as professionalism, integrity, and mutual respect among colleagues and the community.

Addressing concerns regarding prior lapses in discipline, LUC Fambulleh asserted a steadfast commitment to swiftly address any misconduct within the force. He firmly stated, “Any behavior tarnishing the reputation of the Sierra Leone Police Force is unacceptable.”

The LUC urged the newly sworn-in officers to uphold discipline by demonstrating punctuality, adherence to protocols, and adherence to the highest ethical standards. He stressed individual responsibility, emphasizing the need for each officer to maintain professionalism consistently.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr. Almamy Libo Bangura, the Divisional Support Officer, echoed these sentiments, promising stricter monitoring and enhanced accountability measures under LUC Fambulleh’s leadership. This encompassed intensified supervision, regular performance assessments, and disciplinary measures for those failing to meet expected standards.

Encouraging a culture of vigilance, Mr. Bangura urged officers to promptly report any instances of misconduct or breaches of discipline they witness. Emphasizing teamwork, he highlighted, “Our collective efforts are crucial in upholding our professional values and preserving the community’s trust.”

Concluding the ceremony, LUC Fambulleh expressed gratitude to the new officers for their attentive participation, calling for unified endeavors to prioritize discipline within the Police Force. “Let us collaborate to ensure discipline remains our foremost focus,” he concluded, marking the conclusion of the event.
