In a forward-thinking initiative aimed at bolstering community safety, the Local Police Partnership Board (LPPB) of Bo West Division recently held a pivotal gathering, led by the respected Local Unit Commander (LUC), Mr. Alphonso A. Fambulleh, known affectionately as “Correct Man.” The meeting, which took place in LUC Fambulleh’s office, brought together a diverse array of community members, all sharing a common goal of combating crime within their jurisdiction.
At the gathering, LUC Fambulleh passionately encouraged attendees to view one another as family and to collaborate closely in the fight against crime. He orchestrated the appointment of dedicated individuals to key positions within the LPPB, laying the groundwork for a strong executive team. LUC Fambulleh unveiled comprehensive plans, including the introduction of identification cards and T-shirts, fundraising initiatives, and a community Gala, all designed to enhance their visibility and recognition in society.
Emphasizing the support they’ve received from higher authorities, LUC Fambulleh noted, “The Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, and the Regional Police Commander, AIG Brima Kanneh, have entrusted me with a mission that can only succeed with your unwavering support in our collective effort to eradicate crime.”
In a display of solidarity, Mr. Tony Allie, Chairman of LPPB Bo West, pledged their full support for LUC Fambulleh, declaring, “We stand by you, my brother, as we, Sierra Leoneans, all yearn for a peaceful nation.”
Various community representatives shared their thoughts, underlining the practicality of the proposed development plans. It was unanimously agreed that these initiatives would be swiftly implemented, with the next week set as the target date, pending divine blessings.
Additionally, it was decided that these crucial meetings would become a regular occurrence, rotating among different communities to ensure ongoing engagement and collaboration in their joint quest for a safer, crime-free Bo West Division.
