In a proactive step towards bolstering neighborhood safety and curbing increasing criminal activities, a significant meeting transpired today in Bo Southern Region, where Assistant Inspector General of Police Mr. Brima Kanneh convened with local Bar and Guesthouse owners. Recognizing their integral role within the community, Mr. Kanneh expressed profound gratitude for their dedication to aiding law enforcement by providing crucial information.
Throughout the gathering, the focus centered on the surge in criminal incidents nationwide, with the Regional Police Commander emphasizing the pivotal contribution of business owners to law enforcement efforts. Stressing the importance of their collaboration in upholding law and order, attendees were urged to promptly report any suspicious activities to prevent crimes.
Reassuring attendees, Mr. Kanneh pledged the unwavering support of the police force and guaranteed their safety, encouraging a proactive approach in reporting any concerning incidents. Emphasizing confidentiality, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Sourie Kamara, assured the protection of identities for those who opt for anonymous reporting, proposing the creation of a direct communication channel to expedite information exchange.
In a display of solidarity and commitment, Madam Veronica Kailey of Connect Bar and Restaurant commended the Commander’s leadership and affirmed the owners’ determination to aid the police in safeguarding the community. She vowed continuous collaboration through information sharing and adherence to the National Curfew.
Departing with a reinvigorated sense of unity, both the police Commander and the Bar and Guesthouse owners departed, united in their resolve to collectively combat crime and create a secure environment for residents and visitors.
