Bo Rangers Football Club, the 2021/2022Sierra Premier League Champions on 31st August 2022 Officially terminated their contract with Musa Noah Kamara, Popularly known as (Musa Tombo) in a letter dated 31st August 2022.
The Official Letter from Bo Rangers read as
“We regret to inform you that we have terminated your contract with us. Effective from the 1st of September 2022. we appreciate the relationship we have had with you over the years.”
The letter further that ” However your failure, refusal, and/ or neglect to conform to established standards of moral character and Sportsmanship are reasonably inexcusable.
The whacky attitude has been like a scare on the conscience of our club and caused reputational damage to the club and in particular, our Executive Chairman.”
Bo Rangers said in the letter they tried to prevent this but the circumstances before them were unavoidable and thus prompted them to save tie with Musa Noah Kamara.
No specific reference to misbehavior was mentioned in the letter, but many believe it is a cumulation of previous conduct of unsporting behaviors of the player – including his recent outburst in a National Team bus, where he refused to join the Homebase Team camp in Kenema, after returning from the first leg CHAN Qualifier against Mali in Liberia. An awful video of his acts was in circulation on social media, and hours later, he was spotted playing community football in Freetown, which many football pundits frown at.
His abrupt dismissal from the club will not be unconnected to the above reasons.
In the said letter, Musa was further instructed to return all footballing gears of Bo Rangers in his possession within one week of receiving the letter.
Bo Rangers are in preparation for their first continental campaign in under two weeks, in the preliminaries of the CAF Champions League tournament against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad.
Musa Kamara was crowned as Best Player of the Year and also won the Golden Boot in the previous Sierra Leone Premier League season, as he helped his club (Bo Rangers) lift their first major trophy.
There has been no reaction from Musa or his representative since his contract was terminated by Bo Rangers F.C., and it’s unclear whether the club will compensate Musa for terminating his existing contract.
