The Parliamentary Committee chairman of Energy in Parliament, Hon. Keikura Vandi has said that very soon Bo and Kenema will start to enjoy sustainable electricity.
Hon. Vandi was speaking in Turkey where they are on Energy arrangement for the country with the Minister of Energy, Alhaji Kanja Sesay and other officials of the Ministry.
He disclosed that the Energy Ministers of Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Liberia will meet in Côte d’Ivoire on 5th November 2021 to finalize the agreement on the CSLG energy project.
He informed that the Energy Minister is pushing very hard to ensure that the country enjoys uninterrupted electricity.
Hon. Keikura Vandi appealed to the People of Kenema and Bo to be patient as they will soon start enjoying reliable and sustainable electricity.
He acknowledged that although there are challenges in the energy sector especially as the cities expand, government has ensured that Chiefdom headquarter towns also benefit from electricity.
