Bike Rider Sentenced To 1 Yr Or Pay Le10M

Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Ross Road Court No.3 Freetown, on Tuesday 25 July 2023, sentence Mohamed Kargbo a bike rider for pleading guilty of converting the complainant motor bike.

The accused Mohamed Kargbo was charged on a count of fraudulent conversation contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to particulars of the offense, the accused Mohamed Kargbo on Saturday 28 May 2022, of City road, Rokupa Junction, Freetown, did steal as a bailee one black TVS motor bike with registration number ATJ620 value thirteen thousand Leones (Le13 000) entrusted to him by Mohamed Taylor for the purpose of plying on commercial basis , property of Sheka Kargbo.

In the same Court and Magistrate, Foday Fornah an electrician was also sentenced to 1 year direct sentence inclusive time spent.

He was charged on 4 counts of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused Foday Fornah on Wednesday 26 April 2023, at Ferry Junction, Freetown, on count 1, 2, 3 and 4 the accused Foday Fornah on Wednesday 26 April 2023, at Ferry Junction, Freetown, stole various motor parts like negative and positive terminal pole cables and compressor plate all to the total value of seven thousand seven hundred Leones from Foday Kallay.

The matter was prosecuted by Inspector A. Kamara and S.I Fullah.
