41yrs old Adonon Sewanon Landry Dill a Benin national made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two counts charges to wit carrying offensive weapons without lawful authority contrary section 16 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965 and entering Sierra Leone without valid document contrary to section 2 (1) of Non-Citizen registration immigration and expulsion Act No.14 of the public Notice No.38 of 1965.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 9th October 2022 at Cotton Tree State Avenue the western area in Freetown carrying offensive weapons in a public place to wit cotton tree state Avenue Freetown.
On count two on the same date and place being a Benin national failed to comply with the condition of entering in Sierra Leone
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty on his first appearance
The accused person was represented by J.Wales who made an application for the accused person to be taken to the mental home, after the application the accused to the magistrate that he’s not a mad person he has been in Sierra Leone for many years now and he is pleading with the Court to deported him to his country
Meanwhile Magistrate Ngegba granted the accused person bail in the sum of fifty thousand new Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be resident in the western area sureties to produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar Matter adjourned to the 11 January 2023 for further hearing Sergeant 9939 Mohamed Lahai Prosecuting the Matter
