Bench Warrant For Kenema Town Chief

Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown has issued bench warrant for the town chief of Beleby village Kenema district town chief Alhaji Ansumana Kallon.

The accused was standing before the court on one count of Obtaining good by false pretences Contrary to Section 32(1) of larceny Act 1916.

Particulars of offence stated that the accused Alhaji Ansumana kallon on the 22nd of September 2020 at Fourah bay College with intent to defraud and obtained certain properties that is to say one white Toyota Hilux vehicle AAG 454 Val five thousand United state dollars equivalent to seventy two million five hundred thousand new Leones from the complainant Augustine Ansumana Garmoh by falsely pretending to buy the said vehicle knowing same to be false.

When the matter was mentioned in court the accused was no were to be seen; the prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Lahai M applied for bench warrant which was granted by the setting Magistrate.

The matter was adjourned to the 9th of February 2023 for further hearing.
