The Sierra Leone Male and Female Beach Volleyball squad are in limbo of making it to the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) second and final rounds of beach volleyball continental cup for Tokyo Olympics slated from June 20-29 in Agadir City in Morocco.
Unlike other African countries, Sierra Leone is still unsure if they can make it to Agadir City for the historic event which will unveil who will be the next beach volleyball Olympic team from the continent.
The team is expected to depart the country`s shores before the 18th of June, as they have undergone a few days of incubation due to the Coronavirus protocols.
Whiles the likes of Nigeria men and women teams are in Benin for a two weeks training to help their team focus ahead of the competition, the Sierra Leone players are left in training session back home with unknown hopes of making it to the all-important continental showpiece.
Worst of all there is no comment or commitment from both the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority.
According to Sorie Kamara the Technical Director who also doubles as the head coach said the players are in high Spirit to Qualify for the two tournaments at hand but went further on calling on the Government to help them so that they can go for the qualifies.
The Association over the years has been the most outstanding sporting discipline that has done greatly in International competitions bringing home many laurels.
