Sensitization started off with the normal Christian and Muslim prayers. The welcome statement was done by Paramount Chief of Wara-wara Yagala chiefdom, PC Gbawuru Mansaray-2 after being formally called upon by the Resident Minister, North-east, Hon. Abu Abu  Koroma. Chairman of the program was the District Officer (D.O.) also present at the program were Paramount Chiefs from all districts in Koinadugu, students  from various secondary schools schools, bke riders executives and a host of other dignitaries. The team was led by Prof. Muana Kallon, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone.

In his sensitization address, Prof. Muana Kallon, spoke on the introduction of the new currency notes which would be in use shortly. He displayed photos of the new currency notes for users to understand the new notes and get aquatinted with it. He spoke on the need to differentiate between the new currency and counterfeit notes which might possibly be in circulation by criminals and money launderers.

Prof. Muana formally called on all stakeholders in Koinadugu District, to continue on the sensitization till when it shall be formally launched and issued by the Central Bank for public use. Closing courtesies were done by some paramount chiefs including a representative of the Paramount of Diang chiefdom, PC Magba-3. Cultural displays and dancing formed part of ceremony. The Local Unit Commander of Kabala Divisional Headquarters was represented by Sgt. 9422 Edward Kamara, alias ‘ In- Charge’.
