Ban on all sporting activities has been lifted in Sierra Leone, according to a joint release from the Ministry of Sport and the National Sport Authority. The release dated 4th January 2020 makes the caveat that despite the lifting of the ban, all matches will be played behind closed doors.
“No spectators will be allowed in line with the health regulations from the National COVID-19 Emergency Response Center (NaCOVERC).”
A-Z news can confirm that this decision has been made in good in faith and consistent with the country’s health regulations and restrictions stipulated by NaCOVERC to curtail the spread of the COVID 19 virus.
It can be recalled that before the Covid-19 outbreak, the Sierra Leone Premier League was the most watched but pandemic altered that entertainment.
