The August 10th 2022 insurrection has just depicted the All People’s Congress Party as (APC) as an ideal angel of death for Sierra Leonean Youths. That failed overthrow of a legitimate government leading to the loss of lives of Police Officers and compatriot citizens, has been logically perceived by the President to be sponsored, financed and orchestrated by person’s identified to be Members of APC. As the APC continues to wallow in their deep traumatic swing, the Bio administration is just increasing its popular support ahead of 2023 generation elections.
The signs and symptoms is just a divine revelation that President Bio’s reelection is assured in 2023. These divine revelations has been lucid and evident in the concerted actions of the Western Area of Freetown, Kono, Bo, Moyamba, Kenema, Kailahun, Pujehun among other places, shunning the August 10th 2022 attempted coup.
This further gives a gratifying assurance that these areas are in their vim and vigor to reelect President Bio come 2023.
It has always been evident that violence is highly associated with the main Opposition APC especially when they want to fulfil their dubious political quest.
The APC full of sanctified seers, must have versioned and foresaw that the 2023 elections has long been won by President Bio, which is the more reason they have resulted to their superannuated (outdated 99 tactics) and strategies of making the state very ungovernable. It has been a long nursed notion that the APC doesn’t believe in democratic process in gaining political power as evident in their political history.
It is very timely to observe a minute of silent prayers for those police officers and innocent citizens who lost their lives in such ill-thought-out terrorism attack against the state.
May the souls of those police officers rest in eternal peace. The Courier considers those police officers as iconic heroes and heroines of the state as they were brutally kill during their selfless service to humanity and to the nation.
The international community has clearly fathomed that most if not, all of the sporadic political unrest are financed, sponsored and well-orchestrated by identified political parties and groups of individuals. The universal condemnation of the August 10th insurrection by the international communities further exposes the inimical intention of the APC to put the hard-earned peace and democracy into muddles.
I am always in my pensive mood why Sierra Leonean Youth are yet to regain their consciousness. They sometimes drunkenly heed to political gimmicks by self-centered politicians to blindly take to the street in order to create mayhem and disrupt the peace and stability of the country. One cannot believe that the country still has gullible youths who trade their lives for just Le75 just to create civil unrest.
The Courier wonders when the youth of Sierra Leone shall gain awareness in understanding that it is never worth it to die for a politician. Most if not, all of those politicians they trade their lives for, have their sons and daughters overseas pursuing professional career path, whilst the gullible youth are here wallowing in their celebrated mediocrity.
Sierra Leonean youths are yet to underscore that the savagery and incendiary incitement from Adebayor just aimed at misleading the youth to rebel against the state, and fulfil the wishes of his pay masters. That devil incarnate (Adebayor), has severally incited Youths in Makeni to go on the rampage which resulted to the death of compatriot Sierra Leoneans. He instigated youths in Tombo which led to the loss of lives.
He also ignited the Pademba Road attempted Prison Break which caused inmates to die. And of recent, he fueled the August 10th failed overthrow which resulted to the loss of lives of citizens including police officers.
It gives the Courier a plethora of ecstasy to re-echo that tuneful statement made by a patriotic Sierra Leonean Lassana Saccoh, that the cause for youth unemployment is not predominantly the responsibility of the government.
In fact he categorically apportioned the unemployment syndrome to be a man-made caused by youths who are quick to go on the street with their political vein of ignorance to render the peace and stability of the country into opprobrium.
What is worth noting by every Sierra Leonean is that wherever there is unrest in a country, it degenerate the country’s international reputation, and frightened international investors.
In order words, that American Investor, Chinese Investor, British Investor or German Investor who has nursed the intention to establish a multi- million dollars investment with the gumption of employing 2000 or 3000 Sierra Leonean youths, the August 10th terror attack will just give him the compelling reasons to take his investment to another country.
Who is the loser in this circumstance and who chased away such investments with the capability to employ 3000 youths? The simple answer is the gullible youth and not president Bio. Therefore, the gullible youth with political vein of ignorance, are also responsible for the unemployment rate through their inimical actions of creating civil unrest.
Also, the dramatic irony in the August 10th faceless terror attack on the state was the ill-thought-out chanting that “Maada must go”, of which the initial purported focus was on the inflation rate on food commodities which is a global phenomenon. Thus, the chant down and pulling-down syndrome (Maada must go), clearly depicts that the August 10th insurrection was not for inflation rate on essential commodities. It was rather a calculated conspiracy theory to make the state very ungovernable especially when such terror attacks were targeted at state institutions putting police stations ablaze.
There are reasons for one to nurse the believe that the August 10th incident is not unconnected to one of the power-thirty-tricks by the All People’s Congress Party. To justify the above assertion, top ranking members of the All People’s Congress Party including their 2018 Presidential aspirant Dr. Samura Kamara and the Freetown City Mayor, have been constantly on record preaching tribal bigotry.
In his magnanimous quest to ensure that peace and unity roam across the four corners of the country, President Bio called for Bintumani (3) Peace and Unity conference so that all the grievances emanated from the 2018 general elections would have been addressed.
An invitation was graciously extended to the main Opposition All People’s Congress Party but sardonically enough, none of them availed themselves for the peace talks except for Alhaji Alpha Kanu, the recently appointed presidential spokesperson in Bio Administration.
Also part of the many steps to enhance National Cohesion, the New Direction Government has also instituted/established the National Peace and Cohesion Commission all in the best interest of putting the political tension to a permanent rest. Thus, shunning the Bintumani (III) Peace talks by the APC are all indications that the All People’s Congress Party does not believe in peaceful dialogue but rather result in sponsoring and financing youths to create mayhem in the state. As requested by the international community, the government really needs to expedite the investigation process in order to bring financiers, supporters, planners and implementers of the August 10th insurrection to a speedy justice.
