During his developmentally oriented visit to the United Nations General Assembly as Co-Chairman for the Transform Education Summit, the Chairman of

the Sierra Leone People’s Party North America Region Desmond Pessima, put smiles on the face of President Bio after mobilizing Sierra Leonean Residents across the United States to give a red carpet welcome to the President for his astute leadership.

Elucidating the magic behind President Bio’s smiles at such an unprecedented welcoming ceremony, Chairman Pessima disclosed that before going to the United Nations with the patriotic motive to showcase Sierra Leone as one of the best countries in the world, he said they have been seen social media contents determined to go and embarrass the country before the world.

As a young man who has the credo that Sierra Leone did not deserve such malicious act, Chairman Pessima noted that such social media content precipitated him as the Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party North America, to mobilize people through the support and effort of his executive to avert such malicious embracement from unpatriotic Sierra Leoneans.

He added that the appeal he made to other Sierra Leoneans living in the United States to come out in their numbers and project the good image of the country coupled with the laudable work done by President Bio, was the very reason that impressed and put a smile on the face of the president.

“Sierra Leone is the only country we call home and as people, we believe that we have to present our country in a manner which other people would respect. We are seeing how Americans love and cherish their country as well as the tremendous respect they have for their president. All those happened because they want to showcase patriotism in the highest magnitude”.

Chairman Pessima also assured that he loves Sierra Leone to be a better place for all and sundry irrespective of political class standing.  He also acknowledged that for Sierra Leone to be a better place, it needs a concerted effort from all citizens irrespective of tribal, religious and political sentiment. He also disclosed that whenever President Bio wants to visit the United States, he (Chairman Pessima) would always use the inclusive approach to reach out to every Sierra Leonean resident in America to welcome the president.  For this United Nations General Assembly, Chairman Pessima also revealed that he mobilized Sierra Leonean United States Residents from California, Maryland, Washington DC, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, among other states to welcome President Bio.

“As God could have it, we went there in our numbers in our jubilant mood not because we don’t have work to do as some of us have top jobs here in the United States. But we went there because we love our country and the good work President Bio is doing in that country. Children, youth and the aged were all out in their numbers to express appreciation for the unprecedented work President Bio is doing in Sierra Leone”, said Chairman Pessima.

As part of the normal legal procedure to stage a procession in the United States, Chairman Pessima revealed that he fulfilled all the legal procedures as well as those who intended to go to the United Nations with the Pretext to embarrass the Green, White and Blue. Fortunately for them, Chairman Pessima intimated that they were comfortably able to outshine those minute individuals dubbed as People’s Power in Politics (PPP) with their pre-conceived motive to put the Green, White and Blue into shame and disgrace.

Chairman Pessima also encouraged those claimants dubbed People’s Power in Politics (PPP) to change their unpatriotic attitude. He also schooled them that if the People’s Power in Politics crusaders truly believes in what they claimed, then should use diplomatic means in reaching out to the people. He also expressed with dismay that the motherly invectives, and illegal attacks on democracy perpetuated by the so-called Peoples’ Power in Politics (PPP), are not good for the democracy of Sierra Leone.
