Since Ramatu Mohammed Bangura was raped and allegedly murdered on the 21 of July 2021, Police in Bamoi Luma Kambia has released two suspects after interrogation citing lack of evidence.
“After series of interrogation we were unable to find any evidence on the two suspects that will help to continue the investigation,”Mr Lahai noted.
The confirmation was made by the crime officer Ins, JB Lahai who was investigating the matter alongside his team of officers.
Speaking to A-Z newspaper the crime officer of kambia police Division JB Lahai said after the alleged murder of the late Ramatu Mohammed they have been working assiduously in making sure that the Perpetrators are brought to book. With almost one month into the investigation the police has released the suspect having found no clues that could direct their investigations.
It should be recalled that the naked and lifeless body of one 25years old woman, Ramatu Bangura was found dead in Bamoi luma, after she was gang raped and brutally murdered.
The team of police discovered the deceased lying on her stomach with both hands tied up behind her back.
Her remains were later conveyed to the Kambia government mortuary for an autopsy investigation.
The crime officer finally disclosed that they decided to Grant them temporal Bail as the investigation continues.
