It has past 1 week since the presiding Magistrate of Court No.2 Isatu Sellu Tucker takes Medical leave to the United States of America, no magistrate was assigned to that particular Court.
Litigants are grumbling that there matters are stagnated without no head way, especially prisoners that are in custody on minor offences to speed up their matters.
This has not been the traditional as whenever Magistrate or Judge takes leave for whatever condition; another will be replaced until the return of that particular Magistrate/Judge.
In this case, it did not happen as the Court is not moving on, Prosecutors are coming but no Magistrate to take over.
Magistrate Daboh of Ross Road made an attempt last Monday to seat, but since then he had disappeared and the Court is not moving.
The Registrar is always coming to give date to accused persons who are on bail or not.
Those that are in custody, the Correctional Officers will bring their remand warrant to give date but they will not bring them because there is no Magistrate to sit on their cases.
The Chief Justice JSE Desmond Babatunde Edwards must assign Magistrate now at Court No.2 Pademba road until the return of Magistrate Tucker from the United States of America.
