The Kenema Old Students’ Association (KOSA) in collaboration with the School Administration has completed the 70th Anniversary of the Government Secondary School, Kenema.
The celebration which normally takes place in April was rescheduled to May this year due to the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The week-long activities started with the school flag-raising ceremony, donations, cross country, inter-house sports meet, football competitions, speech day, the prize-giving ceremony, re-union night, elections, social night, Muslim and Christian thanksgiving ceremonies, and march pass through the principal streets of Kenema. With a total of nine brass bands including the host, the 45-man fully dressed.
