The matter between the State and Nabieu Unisa, Hon Emmanuel Conteh and two others has on the 8th November, 2021 been adjourned in the instance of the defense.
The matter is before magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road court No.1 for preliminary investigation on seventeen count charges of conspiracy to commit felony to wit the illegal importation of arms and ammunitions without lawful authority, transfer small arms into Sierra Leone without valid license, importation of small arms into Sierra Leone without a Small Arms and Ammunition permit, aiding and abating the importation of small arms in to Sierra Leone among others.
Shortly after the matter was mentioned by the court clerk, prosecuting counsel Y I Sesay informed the Bench that he will not go on because he has been reliable informed by defense counsels representing the accused persons that they are at the High Court dealing with other sensitive matters.
Responding to state counsel, Magistrate Sahr Kekura said he was impressed at the speed at which the matter is going but all of the sudden both sides are relaxing, delaying justice.
State counsel Y.I Sesay said he is ready to continue with the matter but cannot go on without the defense.
He indulgence the bench for another adjourned date in which all of them will be present to proceed with the matter.
Magistrate Sahr Kekura adjourned the matter to the 22nd of November 2021.
