Police at the criminal investigation department at the Tankoro Police Divisional Headquarters in Koidu city are nursing multiple of wounds on an alleged thief identified as Abubakarr Sorber. According to the crime officer of the Tankoro Divisional Headquarters Assistant Superintendent of Police, John Mannah, the alleged thief was brought in by people believed to be members relating to the Chief Administrator of the Kono District Council. The thief is said to have attempted to cart away the Properties of the Chief Administrator but ran out of luck at the Gbongbor Street city and was seriously manhandle.
The crime officer noted with dismay that, since the matter was reported at the aforementioned police station, the victim Abubakarr Sorber has been abandoned with multiple of wounds. He said they are left with no option than to nurse the multiple wounds before carrying out their investigations into the said matter.
The officer said they are going by the rule of law which states every man is presumed innocent until proven guilty before the court of law. The Police in the district have expressed dissatisfaction over the stance of the management of the Koidu Government Hospital to deny treatment of the victim with multiple wounds.
Assistant Superintendent of Police John Mannah pointed out that whilst they are nursing the wounds on the victim, police investigations on the side of the complainant and those concerned is in progress and the victim after recovery will be interrogated on the alleged theft matter.
