The Media and Public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Police in the Southern Region, Inspector Mohamed Bobson Senu has  said that on the 22 May 2021, one of the armed robbers who raided the Holy Rosary School(HRS) compound in Bo   dropped a  bag  that contained over forty three millions  Leones after the Police shot him in his shoulder

 He called on the public to report any anybody with a major injury on his shoulder as he might be one of the suspects for attacking the Reverend Fathers at HRS compound in Bo. The said armed robbery is said to have narrowly escaped police arrest.

Speaking to this medium in Bo,  Inspector Senu said that they have started experiencing armed robbery of late, due to  presidential pardon that saw the acquittal and discharge from the court of some hard core criminals. He said the police have been proactive to contain the ugly development including the one at the HRS compound in Bo.

Inspector Senu said that they have been getting report of arm robbers who are ex-convict   being killed along Ngalu Road, Niagoihun, Christ the King College area and the recent one  was found dead along Gerihun Road in Bo on Sunday ,23 May  2021. He was  identified by his family members as  Mohamed Koroma ,who was residing at Olando Street at  Torkpoi Town  in Bo.

A-Z News gathered that the deceased was in police net for the offence of armed robbery with aggravation and later charged to court.

Inspector Senu said that when he was found dead  it was reported to the police  and that police are yet to identify any prime suspect responsible for his demise but it was stated that nobody has the right to kill somebody, whether he is a criminal or not.

Inspector Senu however said that if there is a rumor around anybody who is responsible for his death,  arrest will be effected and culprit prosecuted.

He said that they have also a complainant that reported another act of robbery when he was raided by criminals after he paid a worker who worked for him.

Inspector Senu said that police rely on the public to provide reliable information that will lead to the arrest of criminals in their communities.
