Mohamed Moriba, a politician, former military officer, and Southern Province Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the All People’s Congress (APC) party, made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2, facing a charge of incitement contrary to law.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Saturday, 27 December 2025, at Kamalo Village, Karina Judicial District, North-East Province, Sierra Leone, the defendant allegedly created an audio and video clip containing inciting content intended to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos, and unrest in the country. The content was reportedly posted by Salone Gossip Hub on their TikTok account.
When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken.
The lead defence counsel, M.A. Kamara, Esq., suspended his cross-examination and requested a short adjournment to confer with the Attorney General.
Magistrate Fornah refused bail and remanded the defendant to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 13 February 2026.
