The Minister of Information and Communications, Mohamed Rahman Swaray has referred to the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), as a party

that party has violence in its arsenal with no alternative policies.

He said what Sierra Leoneans want to hear from the opposition especially the APC is for them to provide alternative policies to what President Bio has delivered to the people of Sierra Leone during his first term. “Alternatives in terms of education, the repeal of the obnoxious Criminal Libel Law and the enactment of the Bill which calls for 30% female representation”, said the Minister.

He noted that there is a need for a peaceful election devoid of violence master minded by ill – motivated left-wing politicians.

He recalled without peace there will be no development no matter the political party in power. He said with peace the country can be able to attract direct foreign investments but without peace, no development can take place.

He referred to the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) as the most peaceful party being the oldest political party in the history of Sierra Leone.

He said the President has done phenomenally well adding that there is still work to be done to fix up the nation considering the development strides the government has been taking since being elected in 2018. He said with the tangible indicators, the people of Sierra Leone with no doubts will vote for their president to give him more time in office to continue with his development trajectory.

The opposition APC had described the SLPP government as having performed poorly with no better alternatives than the ones always proffered by their party. According to Hon. Abdul Kargbo of the APC, their party is going to fix the economy no sooner it comes to power.
