Anti-Drugs Football Club has on 25th May 2022 lost the protest filed against East End Lions Football Club about the use of Abdul Razak Conteh fondly known as ‘Puyol’.

This came following the Sierra Leone Premier League Disciplinary Committee find ruling on the said match that was played at the Museum field in Makeni, Northern Province. This was an issue demanding whether Abdul Razak Conteh was duly registered to participate as a player of the East End Lions football club in the second round of the Sierra Leone Premier League 2021/2022 season.

After a thorough review from the Disciplinary Committee of the Sierra Leone Premier League, they found out that the side player was registered by East End Lions football club for the second round of the Premier League with License number EEL015.

The disciplinary Committee of the Premier League dismissed the protest for lack of merit, and therefore the result of the said match was upheld.

In another development, the Disciplinary Committee of the Premier League board levied fines against the Sierra Leone Police football club in the match against FC Port Authority Football Club at the Police field in Kingdom. Pointing out the following: 

  1. Sierra Leone Police are fine (1,500,000) one million five hundred thousand Leones to be paid at the Premier League account at Union Trust Bank.

2. The Sierra Leone Police team warned as to the future conduct of their supporters and is further reminded of their duty to ensure adequate Security for the Vising teams and match officials at their home matches.

3. That as a Committee they are concerned about the increasing spate of Violence in the game and urged the Port Authority football club to work with the Premier League and other stakeholders to curb the incidence of Violence in the game.

 The Committee also looks at the case of Mighty Blackpool and East End Tigers Football Club that has to do with the misconduct of the Supporters of Might Blackpool football club at the Police field, Kingtom on the 17th of April 2022. After a thorough review of the match officials’ report, it was found that Mighty Blackpool failed to control their unruly Supporters and that lead to the pitch invasion and abuse of match officials. The following pronouncement was made:

1. Mighty Blackpool is there for a fine (2,500,000) two million five hundred thousand Leones to be paid into the Sierra Leone Premier League board account Union trust bank.

2. Mighty Blackpool is warned as to the future conduct of their Supporters and reminded of their responsibility in ensuring the safety and security of the Match Officials and not to bring the game into disrepute.

3. That Mighty Blackpool Football club apologies to the said match officials via correspondence addressed to the Referees Committee and Copying the Premier League board and Disciplinary Committee.

The Disciplinary Committee also looks at the match between Freetown City Council and Bo Rangers football club in which the Referee submitted a special report of the match noted that the head coach Hassan B. Kamara, Assistant coach Arthur O. Manneh, the team Doctor Constant Kamara were constantly inciting their supporters to create disrepute in the match, after a review from the Committee it states that; 

1. That Freetown City Council are fined (2,500,000) two million five hundred thousand Leones to be paid into the Sierra Leone Premier League account.

2. That Freetown City council is warned as to the future conduct of their supporters and remained of their responsibility in ensuring the safety and security of the match officials and not bring the game into disrepute.

3. That Freetown should apologize to the said match officials via correspondence addressed to the Referees Committee and copying the Premier League Board and Disciplinary Committee.

In the last case, the Disciplinary Committee looks at is the matter between the Freetown City Council Football Club and the Republic of Sierra Leone Army Forces, when Freetown City Council filed a petition against the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces(RSLAF) for fillig in a player call Adams Chenor Conteh arguing that the player was not officially released by his previous parent club (Anti-Drugs Football club) after a review from the PLB document available show that he was registered for the first round of 2021/2022 season of the Premier League with Anti-Drugs.

 1. Ruling state that the match score between FCFC VS RSLAF is declared a nullity

2. That three (3) points and three goals are awarded in favor of FCFC in respect of said match.

3. That RSLAF is fined (2, 500, 00) two million, Five hundred thousand Leones for fielding ineligible players.

The Premier League continues today at four different venues across the country.
