The former deputy town Chief of Nyembadu Chief Aiah Joe and his wife  Finda Joe have reportedly  drowned  in the Baffin River between Nimikoro and Nimiyama  Chiefdoms  in Kono District. This was disclosed to A-Z the town Chief of Nyembadu in Nimikoro Chiefdom, Kono District Chief Amara Kpakama in an exclusive interview. According to Chief Kpakama  the former  town Chief  of Nyembadu and his wife  were crossing  the said river  in a private boat from Kondorma  village to Nyembadu when the  tides  of the Baffin River became rough thereby causing  the boat to capsize. He noted that since the boat capsized  with the two couples the remains of the  wife  have only be  found, remaining  the husband whose remains  from the day  both of them drowned  to date have not been located.

 He further added that the youths including stakeholders of Nyembadu have robustly searched for the remains of the former deputy Chief of the aforementioned town but to no avail.  Thompson Peter  Ndapie  is the media  officer  Motema Police Division in Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District when talking to this medium  he confirmed the alleged  drowning  of the  two couples  upon an official report  made at their Division by some stakeholders of  Nyembadu.  He reiterated  the  statement of  the town Chief of Nyembadu with regard the  alleged  drowning of Mr. and Mrs. Aiah Joe noting  that postmortem examination conducted on the remains of Finda Joe  proved no foul played  and have been buried  whilst the search for the remains of Chief Aiah Joe is  still in progress.

In a separate development, the Motema Police  Division  media  officer further pointed out that his division is presently  investigating  some  group of people for allegedly cutting  down the  west African Power supply  copper  wires or cables.  Thompson Peter  Ndapie intimated  this medium that  his division applied what he called  the judges rules to arrest at least ten people  for the  alleged  cutting  down of the West African  power supply  copper  cables who are now in police custody  helping them in their  investigation.

 He maintained that the unfortunate incident took place at Bandafayie and Bumpeh Junction including Nyamudu and Njayama all in Nimikoro Chiefdom, Kono District.

 He said among crimes reported at the Motema Police division drowning, rubbery with aggregation, assault and larceny are on the increase. Thompson Peter Ndapie concluded by admonishing all and sundry to reliably inform the police with regard crimes in their communities within the jurisdiction of the Motema Police Division.
