Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Russia, Mohamed Yongawo, has called on Russian mining companies to explore investment opportunities in Sierra Leone, emphasising the country’s potential in the mining, energy, and tourism sectors.

Speaking at the Moscow International Mineral Processing Congress, held at the National University of Science and Technology (MISI), Ambassador Yongawo expressed gratitude to the event organisers, including the university and the Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources at the Russian Academy of Sciences, for facilitating discussions on global mining advancements.

Ambassador Yongawo assured potential investors of Sierra Leone’s favourable business climate, highlighting strong security and government support for foreign investments. He encouraged Russian companies to explore opportunities for partnerships in the country’s growing extractive and energy industries.
