New Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, His Excellency İsmet Korukoğlu, has paid a courtesy call on the Sierra Leone Ambassador to Türkiye Mohamed Hassan Kai-Samba.
Ambassador İsmet Korukoğlu, thanked his counterpart for making time to see him, saying that his visit was to familiarize himself with the Sierra Leone Embassy; and to further deepen the friendship between the two countries.
Ambassador İsmet Korukoğlu further noted that about 954 Sierra Leonean students were studying in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, adding that the visit would synergize a wide range of issues that would seek the welfare maximization of the students. He disclosed that there was a lot of potential on the African continent which he said they were ready and willing to utilize.
“Thank you very much for receiving us at your embassy, I look forward to working with you and your team”, he concluded.
On his path, Ambassador Mohamed Hassan Kai-Samba welcomed and thanked his colleague Ambassador and team for their visit, saying that the two embassies in Ankara have been ina good working relationship. He added there were a lot of concerns about Sierra Leonean students in Cyprus that needed the intervention of the two embassies, which he said would make the studying environment conducive for them.
“Thank you very much for coming, my team and I will continue to engage you on pertinent issues for the betterment of our citizens in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” Ambassador Kai-Samba concluded.
