Allen Town Stakeholders Boost Police

In a bid to make policing more effective in their community stakeholders of Allen Town East of Freetown have made an extension of the post to a station.

Allen town Community is among those that are known to have hosts of Criminals who normally invade the premises of peaceful residents and robbed them off their belongings.

The community is also known as one where sexual offences are compromised, an Act the police is strongly against.

The officers who are manning the post, under the instruction of Assistant superintendent of police Ibrahim Samura are working relent Lesley with members of the local police partnership Board and other stakeholders to raid gray areas where Criminals gather and plan to wreak havoc in order to bring sanity to the people.

Making on the spot visit at the police post over the weekend the officer in command, ASP Ibrahim Samura confirmed the gesture and further take this medium to tour the expansion site at the back of the police post.

The station which has almost complete, was divided, into an investigation pool, the commander’s office, the exhibit crime writers office, the charge office, three cells and an office space for the operational support division officers (OSD).

Chatting brief with ASP Samura, he said the expansion of the police post to a station was an idea of community stakeholders who have witnessed the good work the police is doing in the community.

He said before taking off as a commander of that post, a lot of malpractices has been going on, but with the intervention of his men things are getting normal.

“I believe the effort made so far by the stakeholders to expand the post to a station will be appreciated by the inspector General of police Michael Ambrose Sovula on complications”,

He said with a smile speaking to this medium one of the stakeholder who prefers anonymity, said the expansion of the police station, is one among series of development they are planning to undertake.

He said the work police are doing in their community cannot be underestimated, a reason which is why they thought it fit to promote them with better facilities.

“As a stakeholder I am ready and willing to give whatever support the police need to police our community” he said it with confidence.
