Suliaman Kamara, a driver, made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a charge of fraudulent conversion, contrary to Section 20(1)(iv) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Lightfoot Boston Street, Western Area, Freetown, Kamara allegedly fraudulently converted to his own use certain property, including a vehicle battery and headlights, with a total value of 3,600 Leones. The items had been entrusted to him by Alusine Kamara for safekeeping.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken.

The prosecutor, Detective Police Constable 18235 Thoronka K.K, requested a short adjournment to present his first witness.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah denied bail and remanded the defendant to the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to November 3, 2025.
