Aiah Jimissa, a cleaner, made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on two charges: Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, contrary to the law, and Larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, at Main Road, Wilberforce, in the Western Area of Freetown, Jimissa allegedly conspired with other unknown individuals to commit larceny by trickery.
Count two further stated that on the same date and at the same location, the defendant stole by trick one Itel mobile phone, one mobile charger, one bowl, and other assorted items, with a total value of two thousand two hundred and forty Leones (Le2,240), the property of Aminata Magona.
When the charges were read and explained to him, Jimissa pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Detective Police Constable 18235 Thoronka K.K, requested a short adjournment to allow him to call his first witness.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah refused bail and remanded the defendant to the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 23rd October 2025 for further proceedings.
