Richard Briema a coordinator on Friday 6th December 2024 was issued a bench warrant for his was absent in court and. The bench warrant was issued against him before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.2 on two count charges to wit Robbery with violence contrary to section 23 (1) (b) of the Larceny Act 1916 as repealed and replaced by Section 2 of Act No.16 of 1971 and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the persons Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 3rd October 2024 at Gava Forestry quarters Kenema in the Nongowa Chiefdom in Kenema the Eastern province in Freetown robbed off Abdulai Darboh the sum of sixteen thousand united states dollars, five Jerry cans value three thousand and eighty Leones, thirty nine gas bottles value one hundred and twenty one thousand six hundred Leones and 5000 kilogram Aluminium zinc value one hundred and seventy five thousand Leones at the same time immediately before such Robbery did use personal violence on the said Abdulai Darboh.
Count two further stated that on the same date and place assaulted the complainant in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
When the matter was mentioned the accused person was absent in court.
The prosecutor Assistant Superintendent of police Ibrahim S Mansaray applied for bench warrant against the accused person.
Meanwhile Magistrate Kekura granted the application and issued bench warrant against the accused person and surety respectively the matter was adjourned to the 22nd December 2024.
