Alleged Gold Fraud:Two Argentinian Nationals In Court

Jose Ignacio Castelluchio and Zdravko Voglar were on Tuesday 26th September 2023 dragged to court by Mary Jartu Kosia and Abubakarr Sidikie Koroma for an alleged 1000 grams gold theft worth $65,000 US dollars.

 The two  defendants were brought before magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No1 on warrants of arrest on three counts charges ranging from conspiracy to commit a felony,  Fraudulently conversion contrary to section 20 of the larceny Act 1916 and  house breaking and larceny contrary to section 13/26(1) of the larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence for count one, it was alleged that the first defendant Jose Ignacio Castelluchio on a date unknown between the 1st day of December 2022 and 31st of December 2022, in Mamanki, in the Tonkolili judicial district in the Northern province fraudulently converted to his own use 700grams of gold valued $47,750 USD entrusted to him by the complainants herein.

It was further alleged on count two that the first defendant on the 20th and 23 January 2023, at Magburuka conspired together with other person’s unknown to commit a felony to wit house breaking and larceny.

Whiles Count three added that the two defendants Jose Ignacio Castelluchio and Zdravko Voglar on the 4th February 2023, in Mamanki, in Tonkolili judicial district in the Northern province broke and entered into the store of the complainants with intent to steal and did steal 1000 grams of gold valued $65,000 dollars and 20 gallons of Diesel valued NLe 1,720 all properties of the complainants.

Lawyer Hindolo M Gevao was prosecuting the matter whiles lawyer Claudius Campbell was the counsel for the two defendants in court.

Magistrate Ngegba admitted them on temporary bail until the matter comes up on Thursday 28th September 2023.
