Centrally located at Peace junction in Bo city the Allawalie Private School started operation in 2013 by a private business man.  After making a fortune in business, he decided to invest the money in education as ” it is a way of giving back to his beloved country”.

A three- storey, U- shaped edifice has been built at the junction leading to Njala University, Towama campus. From nursery to SSS 3 the school is in full swing and there is a bus service for parents who are willing and able to afford it. The school also has a printing facility.

The teaching staff is educated fully and well motivated. Salaries are usually paid in time on a regular basis. They have a loan facility to handle their family and other domestic issues. And at the same time ensure discipline to make sure they are effective. Their discipline makes sure a teacher’ s service is terminated if he misses work for no valid reason for three working days. And lateness is also discouraged from among staff members. There is CCTV camera for constant monitoring of teachers. There is a fully stocked science laboratory and a school library with standard and up- to- date books and other modern teaching and learning aids.

In this year’s WASSCE result released by WAEC, 80%  of pupils who took senior secondary school exam got requirements to enter university. And the school’ s administrator, Sheku Mohamed expressed that  the” Sky remains the limit for them at Allawalie School”.  He therefore calls on parents not to be hesitant in sending their children to ” one of the best private schools in Sierra Leone”.
