The All People’s Congress (APC) has published its Register of Eligible Voters (REV) ahead of the party’s ward-level elections scheduled for 7 February 2026, according to the party’s National Secretary-General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq.
Mr. Dumbuya disclosed that the register was published on Friday, 16 January 2026, in compliance with Article 54(h) of the APC Party Constitution (2022), which mandates the publication of a voters’ register prior to the conduct of internal party elections.
He stated that party members who are aggrieved by the contents of the register have a statutory period of seven days from the date of publication to lodge complaints with the Independent Elections Complaint Board (IECB) for redress, in accordance with Article 54(i) of the party’s constitution.
Mr. Dumbuya further explained that the Register of Eligible Voters will remain open to review during the constitutionally prescribed 21-day period, within which amendments, variations, or updates may be effected. Such changes, he noted, will be based on complaints found to be meritorious by the IECB or those resolved administratively by the APC National Secretariat.
Clarifying eligibility requirements, the National Secretary-General stated that members listed as non-eligible due to subscription arrears are required to regularise and settle all outstanding membership dues before the commencement of the ward-level elections.
He emphasized that Article 54(g) of the APC Constitution clearly provides that, for a member to be eligible to vote in any party election, the individual must have been a registered and fully paid-up member of the party continuously for at least one year prior to the relevant convention or election.
“This requirement is mandatory, objective, and non-discretionary, and shall be applied uniformly across all wards and constituencies of the party,” Mr. Dumbuya stressed.
Addressing technical and administrative concerns such as incorrect ward placement, missing names, or other anomalies affecting voter eligibility Mr. Dumbuya advised affected members to channel such issues through their respective Constituency Chairpersons and District Executives, under the coordination of District Chairpersons and regional supervision.
He added that the entire process will be directed and supervised by the APC National Secretariat to ensure fairness, transparency, and adherence to the principles of internal party democracy.
Mr. Dumbuya also disclosed that the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has been formally notified and copied on the public notice, in line with its statutory oversight mandate.
