The Sierra Leone Football Association has 24th June 2022 unveiled a businessman, Alhaji Umar Bah as the new Team Manager for the Sierra Leone National Home-based Team. The unveiling ceremony took place at the football Academy in Kingdom.
Alhaji Umar Bah is a Sierra Leonean business tycoon; he is the CEO of Sierramin Bauxite Mining Company owner of Simbakoro Auto outlet vehicle dealership in Sierra Leone and North America. He is also the Chairman of the Real Republicans Football Club, the club that has won the Sierra Leone Premier League three times as Champion.
In his Statement, Alhaji Umar Bah expressed his appreciation for the new role entrusted to him.
“Am delighted about the appointment I’m ready to serve in this capacity and support the growth of football in the country. I look forward to having a cordial relationship with the Football Association.”
The team Coordinator Victor Lewis the CEO of East End Tigers Football club said Alhaji Umar Bah will help the team get the results in his new role. He describes him as a football enthusiast who has contributed a lot to the development of the game.
Home-based side is in intensive preparation for the Total Energies Africa Nations Champions (CHAN) Algeria 2022 double qualifiers against Cape Verde in July this year. The new team manager for the Leone Stars team B immediately to ensure the team qualifies.
The head coach Francis Zappa Koroma has Wednesday shortlisted (30) players that will be part of the team that will travel to Liberia for another friendly match before the team head to camp and prepared for the qualifiers in Morocco against Cape Verde Island.
