Alhaji Alpha Mohamed Kallon has donated a whooping sum of twelve million with consignment of electronic gadgets to Kailahun District on Thursday 9th December 2021 at SLPP office in Kailahun.
When giving the keynote address, Alhaji Alpha Mohamed Kallon who is one of the candidates for the position of the National Deputy Chairman for the Sierra Leone People’s Party stated that issues of concern have been of interest to the people of Kailahun and the SLPP by extension.
He asserted that among them were provision of sustainable youths service for the grassroots; and structural unification of the party members in spite of him hailing from the Bombali District in the north.
“The provision of fifty inches television, speakers, amplifier, coupled with DSTV dish with one month subscription would utterly perfect the love, unity and development in the party,’’ he said.
He urged members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party to believe in unity and remain as a political party.
‘‘The slogan of the SLPP speaks at latitude in propagating peace across the country,’’ he said.
Alhaji Kallon noted that oneness is a strong pillar in nurturing political drive; adding that SLPP had been born long since of which it needs to continue to work in peace and embrace one another. Therefore, he admonished the supporters including delegates to vote him as the next National Deputy Chairman of the SLPP during the national delegates election.
He promised to replicate the state-of-the art building of SLPP situated in Kailahun by maintaining the same in Bombali District.
“My contribution to the party overtime covers all the district in Sierra Leone of which it has been a continuous process especially the time of great need.’’ He said.
Alhaji Kallon revealed that the leadership of the party in Kailahun needs to embrace the youths, as they would serve in different positions if the platform is provided for them.
Gbessay Jusu Ngobeh, District Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party in Kailahun felt grateful for the patronage and unity Alhaji Alpha Mohamed Kallon has shown to the people of Kailahun District at this timely moment when different wings of the party have been longing for.
He recommended that delegates vote for Alhaji Alpha Mohamed Kallon; and urged them to remain steadfast.
“For me, I believe in human relationship not about money’’ Kailahun District Chairman said.
Alhaji Alusine Funkuba Fofanah, National Trustee North said the goodwill gesture Alhaji Kallon is providing to SLPP has been a long process since 2013.
“Alhaji Kallon who hailed from the North, is one of the soul providers to the sustainability of the party in the Northern region,’’ he said.
He encouraged the Kailahun people to vote for Alhaji Kallon as the next National Deputy Chairman of the SLPP.
He assured the people of Kailahun that many opportunities are on the way especially for the grassroots through the support of Alhaji Alpha Mohamed Kallon.
Aminata Koroma, District Women’s Leader in Bombali District continued to crave the indulgence of colleague District Women’s Leaders and delegates to repose trust in Alhaji Alpha Mohamed Kallon for good leadership.
Edith Amara, Councillor of Kailahun District affirmed that the leadership of SLPP members and supporters in Kailahun to vote for Alhaji Kallon come that day as she has declared her support for Alhaji Kallon.
Christopher Tamba Kai, Chairman of Constituency 003 appreciated the kind gesture Alhaji Kallon has shown to the party and the youth in general.
‘‘We as youths love watching sporting games. As such, we are happy for this donation,’’ he said.
Jeneba Fullah Aruna, Women’s Leader of Constituency 005 commended Alhaji Kallon for emphasizing on youth service for young people in Kailahun as it would help to minimizing the unemployment rate in Kailahun District.
