In a decisive blow against drug-related crimes, the Sierra Leone Police, under the leadership of Regional Police Commander South, Assistant Inspector General of Police Mr. Brima Kanneh, has achieved a notable victory with the apprehension of Tamba James at the Fallah Police Checkpoint.
James, a driver hailing from A. Line Sewa Road, Bo City, was intercepted while traveling from Freetown to Bo, with a substantial quantity of illegal drugs, specifically identified as Kush, in his possession. This arrest, a result of vigilant police work and intelligence-led policing, signifies a significant dent in the illicit drug trade within the country.
AIG Kanneh emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting the large quantity of Kush found on James, indicating his active involvement in drug trafficking.
