Ahead of the start of the most watched inter-Community League, Kanitonian’s Community on 27th August 2022 unveiled their Squad and Supporters Jersey ahead of their Opener in the Central Football Association inter-Community League, the unveiling ceremony took place at the Cline Town Community.
Hassan Bangura the head coach of the Kanitonian’s Football team started by telling thanks to the hard-working Executive Committee of the community for their relentless effort in ensuring that they get the right players to represent the community. He added that with such players there is high optimism that the community team will bring laurels to the people of Cline Town Community.
He called on the 12 players on the field the Supporters to rally behind the boys and storm the Parade grounds when they will be playing Magazine Community in their first match of the campaign in the 2022/2023 Central one Football Association Inter-Community league.
Mohamed Lamin the Captain of the team said they as players much ready to represent the Community with might, heart, and soul and bring smiles to the faces of the Community resident, called the residents to give them their support more than in the last competition they won in Lungi, he assured them that they ready for the task at hand.
Kanitonian’s Community is among the debutants that is going to take part in the inter-Community league for the first time in their history and they are looking forward to making a mark in the tournament even to possibly winning it. The Community last lifted a trophy in Lungi 2016/2017, the Close set creation of the inter- Community League will be their first major trophy with (50,000,000,) Leones. And they are looking forward to winning their first ever Trophy in Freetown as a Community.
