Some Youths of Bo have been seen visibly seeing engaging their fellow youths at Ataya Base and other strategic points to denounce violence and enhance peace and social cohesion in Bo and other parts of the country.
Speaking to A-Z Newspaper in a happy mood, Brima Sesay said that they were not sponsored by any organizations or individuals to embark on the conflict management strategies and called on organizations to come to their aid to continue with the non-violence messages in every part of Bo.
Sesay said that they have engaged organizations that preach peace in Bo to help them get a donor to continue preaching peace to their colleague youths, adding that a Consortium on Peace Building in Sierra Leone with its headquarters in Bo has been engaged to help them get a donor to support their initiative.
The Director of Consortium on Peace Building in Sierra Leone, Momoh Kamara lauded the initiative of some of the youths in Bo and encouraged them to continue with the good work, adding that the youths engaged them for support but told them that they do not have funding to assist them.
He called on local and international organizations including the Independent Peace Commission to work with the Consortium on Peace Building Sierra Leone to work with the youth to continue to preach peace in the communities in Bo and other parts of the Country.
According to Kamara, they are planning to engage the youth on International Day of Peace in September and called on organizations with funding for that project to support them on Youth day.
