In a win for workers, management at All Terrain Services SL LTD (ATS) and the ATS-SRL project employees have agreed to improve working conditions and compensation following a two-day strike. The joint communique, signed on November 12, 2024, outlines the agreed-upon key resolutions.
Firstly, the management has agreed to increase the monthly medical allowance for dependents from Le150 to Le300, a 100% increase.
Additionally, they will provide a daily bus service to transport workers to and from designated pick-up points, making commuting more convenient.
Furthermore, effective November 1, 2024, the workers will receive a 50kg bag of rice as a food allowance.
The end-of-year bonus has also been increased, with the Gross Cutters (casual workers) now receiving a bonus ranging from Le300 to Le500.
The agreement also stipulates that management will not take any disciplinary action against workers due to the strike. Moreover, workers have been granted the immediate right to return to work without disruption.
The communique was signed by representatives from ATS’s management, the ATS-SRL project employees, and the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security (MELSS), demonstrating the collaborative effort in resolving the dispute.
This agreement is a testament to the power of collective bargaining and the importance of ensuring fair working conditions for all employees, regardless of their employment status.
