After going through the crucibles of nomination and verification which gave her the legitimate authority to contest for the position of Member of the Sixth Parliament of the Second Republic of Sierra Leone, Hon. Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima has assured locals of constituency 069 and Port Loko District by extension, to accord them adequate representation and advocate for more development for the people of Portloko.
Racheal was asked by her people to come and represent them in Parliament under the ticket of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). Locals of constituency 069 acknowledged the tremendous goodies and opportunities Hon. Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima had done for them in the area of Health, Education, Agriculture and youth empowerment which was the more reason they called on her to represent them in parliament.
The concerted decision of locals of constituency 069 obliging Hon. Mariatu Racheal Sesay-Pessima to aspire for Member of Parliament, is indeed a pragmatic examples of “People’s Power”, as they have vowed not to vote based on political party sentiment, but for development and for the sake of their daughter Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima.
Fatmata Bangura, a petty trader at the main market in Portloko, narrated what Mrs. Pessima has done. She disclosed said Hon. Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima is loved by her people in the district. She called on all traders to vote overwhelmelly for the SLPP so that Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima could secure her seat in the Sixth Parliament.
” I have stayed in this district for over 20 years. I have never seen the number of people who accompanied Mrs. Pessima to her home”, she said.
Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima is a soft-spoken personality, very intelligent, a philanthropist and very personate in providing opportunities for her people.
Hon. Mariatu Racheal Sesay- Pessima has been given undying assurance by her people that they she would vote massively for President Bio so that Mariatu Racheal Sesay Pessima could go to Parliament.
